How it's made

We do one plant, and we do it properly. Every BeaCoPure product begins as a whole coconut from Ghana's Volta Region. We press coconut oil ourselves, bottle cooking oil from the same crop, and build our hair products on that oil. Nothing we sell starts as an ingredient bought from someone else's press.

Sourcing

Our coconuts are locally sourced in the Volta Region. Buying at home matters in Ghana, where most coconuts still leave the country as whole, unprocessed nuts. We keep the crop here, process it here, and pay people here to do it.

From nut to oil

1. Whole coconuts come in from the Volta Region. We process them here, in the region where they grew.
2. We press raw coconuts into coconut oil. That oil is bottled for our own range, used as the base of the Hair Growth Oil and the Hair and Scalp Conditioner, and supplied in large quantity to other companies.
3. From the same crop we heat-extract traditional coconut oil and bottle it for cooking. It is a different oil from the one we press.
4. The hair products start with the pressed oil, then the herbs. Both are made from that oil. They are not a separate supply.

What the coconut leaves behind

Pressing oil is not the end of the nut. We use the byproducts in energy production, and we supply them to other companies that need them as inputs. The same coconut feeds a kitchen, a hair product, a bulk order, and another maker's process. That is the circle we run the press on.

Quality

Oil extraction, quality control, and food safety are the team's work. The team is trained at McGill University and at KNUST. Gideon Aggrey, Quality Assurance Lead, oversees quality operations. He is a food safety specialist at McGill University with a food science foundation from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His research applies artificial intelligence to anticipating and mitigating risks across the food supply chain. That is the standard we hold the oil to, whether it leaves as a retail bottle, the base of a hair product, or a bulk shipment.
