The wide mouth jar in our line, dark brown with a gold label, made from 100 percent natural coconut oil and herbs. This is the one you work into the scalp as well as the hair, which is where its name comes from.
Reduces dandruff is our product claim, made as the people who make and use this conditioner, and we keep it that way on purpose. There is a plausible mechanism, since lauric acid has antimicrobial activity and a well conditioned scalp flakes less, but we do not dress our claims in citations we do not hold. What the peer reviewed research does show about coconut oil, protein loss, and breakage is laid out honestly on our science page.
Like everything we make, it is pressed, mixed, and jarred in Ghana’s Volta Region. BeaCoPure is a supported SME within the Nkabom Collaborative, the partnership between McGill University, the Mastercard Foundation, six Ghanaian universities, and the Association of Ghana Industries.
